Games Room Supervisor

Responsibilities

Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control

Ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels

Ability to teach and lead various recreational activities

Run daily games room programs and supervise children.

Create a fun and stimulating environment, implementing tournaments and other exciting activities.

Maintain a clean and safe games room making sure all equipment is in working order and put away at the end of the day.

Do frequent and routine bathroom checks making sure bathrooms are clean and children are not loitering.

Arrive for work on time and be ready to work.

Must be able to respond appropriately and use good judgment when dealing with children, parents, and emergencies. Complete accident forms completely as necessary and give to Center Director or Childcare Director, or front desk ASAP.

Maintain consistent rules to assure proper and appropriate discipline and group management.

Conduct all Club programs in a way that promotes sportsmanship and fair play.

Set up and clean up games room before and after breakfast, lunch, and snack.

Assist with other duties at the discretion of the director, which benefit the organization.

Mandated child abuse reporter

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Experience in working with children

Knowledge of youth development

Proven ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems

Good communications skills both verbal and written

Proven ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.

Be certified in CPR/First Aid

Valid driver’s license and good driving history. This is necessary for those that would drive a Club vehicle. To drive children you must be 25 years or older.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Must be able to interact physically with children during program activities.

Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Must be able to think clearly and concisely.

Must be able to function in a loud environment with high energy interacting with multiple aged members.

Must be able to work in a variety of environments, including outdoor activities possible trip assignment.
