Middle School Lead

If you have a passion for improving the lives of children and families, join the team at Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh! Positions are available for after-school care during the 2022-2023 school year.

Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh provides after-school care to over 700 youth in the Oshkosh area.  Positions are available working with middle-school aged youth as a Middle School Lead at either the Downtown Boys & Girls Club’s Quest Program or at South Park Middle School.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of assistant teachers
  • Scheduling of tutors
  • Communication with youth, school staff, parents, and Boys & Girls Club administration
  • Creating of a fun and safe environment for enrolled youth

Working hours for the Middle School Lead are:

  • Downtown Quest program: 2:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday – Friday
  • South Park Middle School: 3:00 – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday

The pay range for Middle School Leads is $15 – $16 per hour.

Additional information/requirements:

  • This role is a mandated child abuse reporter.
  • Previous experience working with middle-school aged children required.
  • Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or become certified within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be able to interact physically with children during program activities.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
