Our Omro members have been building, creating, and problem-solving their way through summer! βοΈπ§©
Recently, members spent time building with magnetic tiles, creating with Play-Doh, and working together on puzzles. These hands-on activities spark creativity, encourage problem-solving, and give youth the chance to learn and explore through play.
We love seeing the ideas, teamwork, and imagination that come to life during everyday moments at the Club. βοΈ ... See MoreSee Less

Last Monday, our first Character & Empowerment Class gave Club girls a hands-on introduction to STEAM learning led by student engineers from the Oshkosh Area School Districtβs nationally recognized FIRST Robotics team.
Throughout four interactive stations, girls learned how engineering and creativity connect in real ways by creating binary code bead patterns to understand how computers communicate, building with BriQ LEGO systems to practice problem-solving and structure, reading an empowering story, and designing LED bracelets to explore simple circuits and electrical flow.
Club girls also saw a live demonstration of the team's competition robot that was built in just six and a half weeks, showing how design, coding, and teamwork come together in high-level robotics.
Most importantly, girls left with new exposure to STEAM skills, hands-on confidence, and a clearer understanding that engineering and innovation are spaces where they belong.
On July 29th, ladies in the community are invited to attend Afternoon Tea, sponsored by Kimberly-Clark, at The Gibson Social Club. This event is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the girl's class accomplishments and hear about the difference the Club makes in the lives of children! ... See MoreSee Less

Please join us in welcoming Katie Pulvermacher to the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh team! π
Katie joined the Club in June as our Grant & Outcomes Coordinator and brings experience in journalism, higher education, and nonprofit communications. She is passionate about sharing stories that inspire others and helping secure resources that create opportunities for local youth.
