Today, on Public Service Day, we recognize and thank the dedicated individuals and organizations who work every day to strengthen our communities and improve the lives of others. 💙

Thank you to the Oshkosh Police Department, Oshkosh Fire Department and all of the educators, first responders, public health professionals, social workers, municipal employees, and countless other public servants who help create a safer, healthier, and more supportive community for local youth and families.

Their commitment to service helps make opportunities possible, builds stronger neighborhoods, and inspires the next generation to lead and give back.

Thank you to all who have chosen a career in public service. Your work makes a difference every day. 🌟

🌟 When girls are given opportunities to learn, grow, and lead, incredible things happen.

Through our Character & Empowerment program, young girls spend the summer building confidence, developing leadership skills, and discovering the unique strengths that will help shape their futures. Afternoon Tea is a special celebration of that growth and the bright possibilities ahead.

A heartfelt thank you to our Great Future Sponsors—Shea Electric & Communications LLC, Chrys Hyde, and the Twentieth Century Club—for investing in the next generation of leaders. Your support helps create meaningful experiences that empower girls to dream big, believe in themselves, and build great futures.

🌟 When girls are

Jake Kohlmeier (left, with COO Lindsay Clark) was a member of our summer staff back in the 2010s. Today, he's the Marketing Manager for Switchgear Power Systems, which is a growing Winneconne company. It was great to see Jake back in the club recently, and we appreciate SPS's interest in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh. ... See MoreSee Less

☀️ OPERATION: SUNSCREEN UPDATE ☀️

We are officially in the final stretch with just about 2 weeks left to go until July 2, and we are still working to keep up with one of our most important summer needs.

Each week at the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, we go through 25–30 bottles of sunscreen helping hundreds of youth stay protected while they play, learn, and explore outdoors all day long. That need doesn’t slow down—and neither do our kids. 😄

If you’ve been planning to help, now is the time.

☀️ Donate sunscreen through July 2 at:
📍 Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh (532 Broad St., Door #8)
📍 Discover Oshkosh Visitor Center
📍 Westhaven Golf Club

🛒 Can’t drop off? Order online and ship directly to:
501 E Parkway Ave, Oshkosh, WI 54901

💙 Prefer to give financially? You can donate here:
secure.givelively.org/donate/boys-girls-club-of-oshkosh-inc/operation-sunscreen

Every bottle matters. Every donation counts. And every bit of support helps keep kids safe in the summer sun.

Let’s finish strong, Oshkosh. 🌞

Please join us in welcoming Katie Pulvermacher to the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh team! 💙

Katie joined the Club in June as our Grant & Outcomes Coordinator and brings experience in journalism, higher education, and nonprofit communications. She is passionate about sharing stories that inspire others and helping secure resources that create opportunities for local youth.

“What I love most about my job is that I am able to positively impact the community and the lives of young individuals,” Katie shared. “It’s fulfilling to collaborate with a group of like-minded individuals committed to creating something greater than ourselves.”

We're excited to have Katie on our team and look forward to the impact she'll make for Club kids and families.

✨ Inspiring words

Summer is officially underway, but before we get too far into a season of fun, we wanted to take a moment to look back on an incredible school year! 💙

Over the past nine months, Club members explored new interests, built friendships, discovered talents, tackled challenges, served their communities, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

From STEM projects and art creations to athletics, field trips, leadership opportunities, and everyday moments of learning and laughter, this video is a celebration of the amazing youth, families, staff, and supporters who made the 2025–26 school year so special.

Thank you for being part of another unforgettable year at the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh. We can't wait to make even more memories this summer! ☀️😎
