Emergency Communication

Welcome to Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh’s Emergency Information Page

The first priority of Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh staff is to ensure the safety of those at the Club during an emergency situation. Additionally, it is critically important that parents and members have accurate information, not rumors. Club staff will notify families of the situation as quickly as possible. In an emergency situation, you can expect to receive communication in several ways including:

Remind

A message system for Club parents/guardians. When necessary, the Club will send out messages via text message to inform families of unexpected events and to communicate in the midst of an emergency (Club closing due to extreme weather, lock-down situation, etc.)

  • PARENTS/GUARDIANS: To ensure that you receive emergency communications, please 1) make sure you are signed up to receive messages through Remind and 2) keep your phone numbers and email addresses current with the Club so that we have your most up-to-date information in order to notify you of an emergency. This can be accomplished by contacting the Club at (920) 233-1414 during normal business hours.

Social Media

The Club has a presence on Facebook (@bgcosh) and will post emergency information and updates on this page. You must like the Club’s Facebook page in order to receive these posts.

Local Media

The Club will provide timely updates to local television stations, radio stations and newspapers for their broadcasts, publications, websites and social media sites.
