2021 summer hours begin on Monday, June 7th and end on Friday, August 20th. The Club features structured classrooms by age group for 7-9 year olds during the summer. Kids will get to experience various activities and programs each day, allowing them to try new things and enjoy everything the Club has to offer. This program will feature a variety of programs that focus on academic success, health and wellness, character and leadership, sports, fitness and recreation as well as the arts.
The Summer Program will also have programming offsite. This includes field trips to local parks and businesses, bus field trips and swimming. The program is sure to keep your child busy and having fun this summer.
The Radford Center Program will run June 7th – August 20th, 2021. We will be open 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
The Club will be closed on July 5th, 2021.
Meals are included in the weekly fee. All meals will be served in our cafeteria. During field trips and park days, meals will be brought along to those locations. If your child would like to bring his or her own lunch, they are welcome to do so. Cold storage is available for all lunches being brought in.
Meal times stay consistent for classroom days. On field trip days, meal times may vary due to the activities and schedules we are provided by the host site.
Breakfast – 8:15 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Lunch – 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Snack – 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
In order for your child to attend during summer, you must turn in the following:
Registration paperwork will be at Boys & Girls Club after school sites from 2:45 – 6:00 p.m. M-F, and at the Radford Center front desk starting Monday, March 1, 2021.
If you sign up, but the classrooms have already reached their limit, your child will be placed on a waiting list. We will serve children on a first come, first served basis. This is why it is important to register as soon as possible to have your best chance of securing a spot for your child.
We charge per week, not per day. This means that it is the same cost whether your child comes 3 days or 5 days.
First Child | Additional Children |
$80 | $60 |
Payment is due the Friday prior to the following week in order for your child to participate.
Scholarship assistance will be based on a sliding scale income but everyone will be expected to pay according to their income level. Assistance will be offered for children who are aged 7-9. If you are interested, please ask the Radford Center front desk for paperwork.
Club members are allowed 1 vacation week during the summer.
Forms of payment include: credit card, check, cash, and automatic payments from your bank account and can be made by phone or at our Radford Center front desk.
In order to keep your child’s spot through the summer, they will be expected to participate at least 3 days per week. They will need to be to the Club by no later than 10 a.m. Your child can be absent for up to one week this summer without having to pay the weekly fee. If you plan to have your child in summer school, you must document this on your registration form. If you cannot commit to these requirements, your child’s spot will be given to someone on the waiting list. Weekly payments must be kept current or your child’s spot will be given to the next family on the waiting list.
Your child is expected to participate fully in each program following their class schedule and behave according to our Club rules found in our Parent Handbook. Children who choose not to follow these expectations will not be able to participate in our summer program.
For any questions concerning our summer program, registration or expectations please contact Director of Club Operations Lindsay Clark at lindsayc@bgcosh.org or 920-233-1414, ext. 114.
Each summer, Club members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of field trips that are both fun and educational. 7-9 year olds will have a set schedule of field trips planned for the summer to many cool places. In the past, the Club has traveled to locations likes Do-It-All-Sports Paintballing, Xtreme Air, Noah’s Ark, Cave of the Mounds, Funset Boulevard, Fox Cities Stadium for a Timber Rattlers game, the NEW Zoo, Old World Wisconsin, Mulberry Lane Farm and more.
All field trips* are included in the weekly summer fee. On field trip days, that is the activity being offered for that day for your child. If you choose to not have your child attend the field trip, you must keep your child home for the day.
Lunch and snacks are provided on all trips that take place during those meal times. A child may bring their own bagged lunch if desired. Sunscreen and bug spray are provided on trips, but your child may bring their own if desired.
Camp Radford is located about an hour from the Club on the Little Wolf River in New London, Wisconsin and is surrounded by natural wetlands. All members will get to experience outdoor education at it’s finest including archery, fishing, cooking over a fire, large group games, swimming, tree and animal identification, fort building and more.
