Welcome our newest addition to our full-time staff, Alyssa Martinez, as the Club’s Director of Quest & Mentoring! Alyssa joined the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh team in June as a part-time staff member and currently serves as the full-time Director of Quest & Mentoring. Before working with the Club, Alyssa was a youth center coordinator in Okinawa, Japan. She earned her associate’s degree in teacher education from Eastern Gateway Community College and a bachelor’s degree in American education studies from Franklin University. She is now seeking a master’s degree in educational leadership. She is passionate about making an impact in the lives of children, youth, and teens—and helping them learn resiliency as they navigate the many twists and turns of life.

Fun facts about Alyssa:

→ She is a military spouse, and her husband is the local Oshkosh United States Marine Corps recruiter.

→ Due to her husband’s military service, she has had the opportunity to live in many different places in the world.

→ Alyssa has two dogs, Griffy and Sergeant Chopper, a former Marine Corps mascot animal.

→ She is also an avid Star Trek fan – Live Long and Prosper!
