Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh Board of Directors Stand in Support of Our Black Community

For 50 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh has been committed to improving the lives of children and families in our community. During these incredibly challenging and divisive times for our nation, we can and must do better to support Black people and anyone who faces prejudices. As supportive adult mentors, we have a responsibility to use our positions to help youth process the world around them.

The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh stands against racism and discrimination and plans to be a catalyst for change. Black lives do matter, and we stand in support of our Black colleagues, families, youth and community. On behalf of our board of directors, we welcome partner and community input on ways we can join forces to eradicate injustices for Black people and others who are victimized by such unfair practices. Our young people, especially young people of color, must be heard. Our Club staff is prepared to listen and stand up for them, and we will continue to offer an inclusive environment where young people of all races and backgrounds are encouraged to express themselves. We hear you and promise to keep the conversation going and be an integral part of the solution.

We must work together to ensure the future is great for the youth who are watching and counting on us.
