The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh recently partnered with Best Buy Geek Squad Academy to bring an exciting two-day technology camp to Club members. The camp was designed to give kids hands-on experiences with emerging technology and help them build valuable skills in areas like artificial intelligence, coding, video editing and digital music creation.

Throughout the two days, participants explored a variety of creative and educational tools including Quick, Draw!, Code.iRobot, MakeCode Arcade, DaVinci Resolve and GarageBand. Each activity challenged youth to think critically, problem-solve and collaborate with their peers as they experimented with technology in fun and engaging ways. From coding their own video games to creating original beats, members discovered that technology can be a powerful tool for creativity and self-expression.

The partnership between the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh and Best Buy Geek Squad Academy reflects a shared commitment to preparing youth for success in a rapidly changing world. By introducing youth to STEM-based learning opportunities, the Club continues to bridge the digital divide and ensure that all kids, regardless of background, have the chance to explore future-focused careers and develop the confidence to pursue them.
