Did you know that our Boys & Girls Club aligns with the Oshkosh Area School District‘s math and literacy curriculum and their social emotional learning (SEL) and behavior plans? This partnership strengthens the support we provide to the children we serve in several important ways. By creating consistency, we can reinforce what Club members learn at school, incorporating it into our daily programming. This also allows our staff to better assist with homework, as they are familiar with the curriculum.
Our team is trained in Conscious Discipline and Response to Intervention (RTI) Tiers of Support, the same strategies used by the school district, to promote positive behavior among Club members. We collaborate with the district to develop tailored plans for children facing challenges in academics, behavior, or mental health. We are grateful for this strong partnership, which enhances our ability to serve the children we work with every day!
