Jamie Wilcox Honored at Midwest Leadership Conference

October 21, 2022

The Boys & Girls of Oshkosh would like to congratulate Jamie Wilcox, the Club’s Director of Facilities, for being honored at the Midwest Leadership Conference for The Professional Association of Boys & Girls Clubs. The conference was October 18-20 in Cincinnati, OH.

Jamie won the Contribution to the Glen Permuy Contribution to the Profession Award. This award is presented to a National member of TPA who has made a significant contribution towards the advancement of the Boys & Girls Club Movement during the course of their career.

This award couldn’t be more fitting for Jamie, who goes above and beyond for his Boys & Girls Club daily. His dedication to Boys & Girls Clubs spans his entire working career, over 40 years, and before that, he was a member of the Club. He began his career in 1980 at the Oshkosh Club, serving in several capacities including Athletics Director, Program Director, and Club Director. He spent several years at Fond Du Lac, helping to open the Club and then as Executive Director, before returning home to Oshkosh in 2002.

Jamie is known for his lifelong passion for his Oshkosh Club, his can-do attitude, the many ways he has helped develop this organization over the years, and his willingness to support staff, the board, alumni, and volunteers in their efforts to help kids succeed. Jamie has mentored 100’s over the years, including Club staff and many teens. He established an Alumni

Club for the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh which contributes $25,000 annually to the Club and helps Alumni take care of the Club’s Camp, Camp Radford. Jamie is the main team member helping with the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh’s $15 mill building & community center project. Jamie is the person who stays late, comes in early, and works weekends, and holidays, whenever he is needed to support his Club.

There in Cincinnati to cheer for Jamie, our CEO Tracy Ogden, Director of Development & Strategic Initiatives Katie Talken, and Director of Youth & Family Engagement Danielle Bittelman.
