Meet Director of Academic Success Jessica McKenna

Jessica will be responsible for creating, planning and implementing academic programming for Club members ages 7-12 as well as teens to provide an additional layer of support to the school district and parents in helping youth succeed with their academic goals.

Jessica graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a bachelor’s degree in communication and public relations. She has worked a variety of positions over the years including as a campus activities coordinator, as a marketing coordinator at a credit union and as a special education aide for both elementary and high school. She started working for Boys & Girls Clubs in 2009 while she was still in college.

During her time at the Boys & Girls Club of the Fox Valley in Appleton, she worked as a Youth Development Specialist running a number of different programs. She then worked at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Green Bay serving as the Academic Coordinator.

She was inspired to work in the Boys & Girls Club movement because she believes that children deserve every opportunity to become successful as they grow and having positive adult relationships is a big component. She is passionate about education because she truly believes that regardless of someone’s situation, being educated always open doors to a better life.

She recently purchased her first home in Neenah. In her spare time she enjoys music, reading, collecting succulents and spending time with her family and her dog Alice.
