Meet Our New Director of Academic Success

The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh is pleased to announce Sara Eliasen has joined our team as the organization’s new Director of Academic Success. She began her position at the Club fulltime in March of 2018.

Sara has been the Community Learning Center Site Coordinator with Oshkosh Area School District for the past three years providing academic learning and enrichment activities and career/post high school readiness programs for students at Oshkosh North and Perry Tipler schools.

Sara spent time at Riverside Alternative High School in Oshkosh as a tutor for at risk youth, and at Cabrini Elementary School in Oshkosh as well, coordinating a World Cultures and Geography program.

She has also been connected with the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh for a number of years. In the past, she has worked as a tutor in our after school program, lead field trips, as well as served as a driver for our transportation program. Sara also partnered with the Club through our summer sailing and cross country skiing partnership as she and her husband, Steve, run the International Youth Sailing of Oshkosh program.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from UW Madison, and has also completed a semester of graduate work in Special Needs Education.

“We are excited to have Sara get acclimated and start making an impact with our youth.” said Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh CEO, Marc Dosogne. “If you stop by the Club, please join us in welcoming Sara to our staff.”

For over 45 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh has provided young people with a safe place to learn and grow. The Club offers a dynamic learning environment that includes fun and impactful age-appropriate programs like Healthy Habits, Money Matters and Power Hour homework help, mentoring by caring adult professionals and outstanding facilities, all for an annual fee of only $25 per child. (There are multiple child discounts & scholarships available.) The Boys & Girls Club also provides after-school care at several elementary school sites. By providing safe facilities, caring adults, and engaging activities, we help each young person realize their full potential.
