Oshkosh Docktoberfest will take place at Dockside Tavern’s Festival Hall this fall on Friday, Sept. 14, 4:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 15, 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. The event will be an authentic oktoberfest with food, great German music, culture and gemütlichkeit by day and lively entertainment and bier hall by night.
Friday night will feature a fish fry by the Roxy Supper Club with deep fried haddock served with choice of potato (German potato salad or potato salad) and coleslaw. Evening entertainment will be provided by Tuba Dan and later on Copper Box band. You can pre-order fish fry tickets online or by stopping by Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh. Saturday, attendees can enjoy great music including Jerry Schneider Band and Gary’s Ridgeland Dutchmen during the day and Star Six Nine later in the evening.
Also on Saturday, there will be the WI Cornhole Tourney (online pre-registration is required), a 2K Bier Run, stein-holding, costume and frankfurter eating contests. So make sure to wear your dirndls and lederhosen!
The 2K Bier Run will start at 2 p.m. Participants will travel along Oshkosh’s Riverwalk for two laps making 3 beer stops at Dockside Tavern, Becket’s and the Ground Round for a total of 1.25 miles (2K) and 6 beers. Participants will all receive a 2K Bier Run t-shirt and the winner will receive bragging rights. Pre-register for the race online for $20 or day of $25.
There is no cover charge to attend. Drinking wristbands are $5 each for one day or $7 for both days. One free 12 ounce domestic beer is included.
