Alyssa Martinez joined the staff of the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh in June of 2024 as a part-time staff member and currently serves as the full-time Director of Teen Services and Workforce Development. Before working with the Club, Alyssa worked as a youth center coordinator in Okinawa, Japan. She earned her associate’s degree in teacher education from Eastern Gateway Community College and earned a bachelor’s degree in American education studies from Franklin University. She is now seeking a master’s degree in educational leadership. She is passionate about making an impact in the lives of children, youth and teens—and helping them learn resiliency as they navigate the many twists and turns of life.
Alyssa is a military spouse, and her husband is the local Oshkosh United States Marine Corps recruiter. Due to his military service, she has had the opportunity to live in many different places in the world. Alyssa has two dogs, Griffy and Sergeant Chopper, a former Marine Corps mascot animal. She is also an avid Star Trek fan (Live Long and Prosper).
