Strategic Plan Update

Dear Friends of the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh:

Even through these challenging times of the COVID-19 virus our organization continues moving forward with our three-year Strategic Plan 2020 – 2022.

Day-to-day we are addressing the need of our Club families and members whether that be through groceries, meals, food cards or cleaning/hygiene supplies. We are also helping our members with school work. Our mentoring program is conducting virtual meetings between mentors and mentees. We have also been working on plans for our safe reopening for summer programming.

At the same time, this is what we are focusing on for our Strategic Plan:

  • Our staff are meeting with other agencies and community leaders to determine what services we can provide in the future. We are looking at our property footprint to see what we might add in the future in the way of family services.
  • We continue to look at where we can improve our safety procedures based on guidance from Boys & Girls Clubs of America and our local safety providers. We are also working on our safety procedures we will follow this summer based on guidance from Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
  • We have strengthened our Board of Directors by adding two new members. We welcome Darren Lett from CR Meyer and Sarah Wallace from Silver Star Brands.
  • We also continue to talk to our donors about solidifying their estate plans as part of our strategy to further build our endowment.
  • Lastly, we are working through a transition of leadership with myself stepping down at the end of December as CEO and Tracy Ogden stepping in as of January 1st, 2021, as the new CEO.

We will continue our fundraising through these challenging times and appreciate your support as we move forward to continue our mission. Many of you have responded to our request to help with basic needs, food, program supplies and cleaning/hygiene supplies to help our families through these tough times.

Thank you for the many ways you share your blessings with youth and families at our Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh.

Respectfully,

Marc Dosogne
