Ashwin joined the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh Board of Directors in September 2025, after a chance conversation with BGCA CEO Jim Clark on a flight that rekindled his desire to get more involved locally.
An Oshkosh North graduate who grew up attending EAA AirVenture, he studied aerospace engineering at the University of Virginia before founding Phoenix-Aid, a Wisconsin startup developing nanocomposite wound dressings for underserved patients. He also serves as interim COO of Clarus Carbon, which is commercializing a high-yield activated-carbon manufacturing process.
Ashwin, his parents and his brother have volunteered and attended EAA each year for the last 15 years. He enjoys hiking, visiting national parks, reading and board games, and he brings experience in engineering, manufacturing and early-stage company building.
Ashwin said, “I’m honored to support the Club’s mission and look forward to helping expand opportunities for kids and families in Oshkosh.”
