WineFeast Proceeds Make Large Impact on Oshkosh Children and Families in Need

WineFeast made a triumphant return on Saturday, April 28th. Over 600 people gathered at the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel & Convention Center to enjoy delicious wine and cuisine from some of Oshkosh’s best restaurants and raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh.

“WineFeast 2018 was the social event of the year and the proceeds make a big impact at our Club,” said Boys & Girls Club, Development & Marketing Director, Tracy Ogden. “The Club greatly depends on these funds to help fulfill our mission of improving the lives of children and families in the Oshkosh community who need the Club the most.”

During the Cellar Select dinner, guests bid on exciting live auction packages including a farm to table dinner, a Packers skybox luxury suite, a condo stay anywhere in the world and trips to Alaska, California, Mexico and Mackinac Island. Guests also heard from Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh member and 2018 Youth of the Year Nichole Van Hoof about the difference the Club has made in her life.

Attendees were given an opportunity to pledge to sponsor Club members and an incredible amount of attendees rose to the occasion to support our community’s youth. Thank you to our friends at Oshkosh Corporation for matching the first $10,000 in donations raised during the evening.

WineFeast featured many raffles with great prizes. The Hughes’ Home Maid Chocolate raffle had five lucky winners find $50 in their purchased boxes of chocolate. Our Cheese Curd Raffle winners were: Greg Noffke ($50 gift card to Fin ‘N’ Feather), Angie Koepke ($50 gift card to Gardina’s), John Rowe ($50 gift card to Ground Round), John and Jean Talken ($50 gift card to Primo), and Rita Tetzlaff ($50 gift card to Tamara’s the Cake Guru.) Our Popcorn Raffle winners were as follows: Jim and Jean Kuschewski ($50 gift card to Caramel Crisp & Cafe), Steve Gurkowski ($50 gift card to Christianos), Brenda Gruett ($50 gift card to Dublin’s Irish Pub), Angie Koepke ($50 gift card to LaSure’s) and Michael Hanneman ($50 gift card to Roxy Supper Club.) The Chocolate, Cheese Curd and Popcorn Raffles were sponsored by Silver Star Brands. The Wine Raffle, sponsored by Festival Foods, had several winners that took home expensive bottles of wine including a bottle worth $100.

“WineFeast would truly not be possible each year without the generosity from our sponsors,” said Ogden. “Proceeds from WineFeast will help our Club offset the costs of providing healthy meals and snacks, membership scholarships, clean showers, clothes that fit, dental care, eyeglasses, school supplies, homework help, quality programming, and so much more. We are truly so thankful to everyone who made it an unforgettable night. We also ask that you save the date for WineFeast 2019 which will be Saturday, April 13th.”
