The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Winneconne Community School District to offer a comprehensive after-school program for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, beginning in the 2025–2026 school year.
Hosted at Winneconne Elementary School, the program will provide a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive after the school day ends. Daily programming will run from school dismissal until 5:30 p.m.
“We’re excited to partner with the Winneconne School District to bring high-quality after-school care to local families,” said Katrina Gesell, Director of Omro Childcare for the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh. “It’s especially rewarding to see familiar faces from our Omro and Oshkosh summer programs participating in this new opportunity. We look forward to watching the program grow and become an important resource for the Winneconne community.”
Lisa Hughes, Winneconne Elementary School Principal, added: “This partnership is a wonderful opportunity to provide our students a safe, enriching space beyond the classroom. We’re grateful for the collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh; Winneconne families have been looking for this type of program. The after-school program is another way to support families in our district and strengthen the overall well-being and development of our young learners.”
Students enrolled in the program will receive a healthy snack, enjoy supervised recess, and engage in a variety of hands-on, age-appropriate activities focused on art, physical activity, academic support, character development, and social-emotional learning.
Registration is now open for the 2025–2026 school year through the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh Parent Portal at parentportal.bgcosh.org. To enroll, families must sign up for a Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh membership and select their desired attendance days.
Membership fees are $25 for the first child, $15 for the second, and $10 for the third, with a $50 maximum per family. The daily attendance fee is $10, and families are only charged for scheduled days of attendance. County assistance is accepted.
