After School Staff – Middle School (Oshkosh Area School District Community Learning Center)

In partnership with the Oshkosh Area School District, Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh is seeking part-time after school staff!

While employees of Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, Community Learning Center (CLC) staff work on-site at Oshkosh elementary and middle schools in Lighted School House (LSH) and Middle Extended Learning Time (MELT) programs.

The mission of the Community Learning Centers in the Oshkosh Area School District is to empower students socially and academically by providing unique extended day learning opportunities in partnership with school, families, and the community.

The program vision is to create life-long learners and compassionate citizens equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in the 21st century.

The program focus, rather than simply homework help, is academic enrichment, which expands on students’ learning in ways that differ from the methods used during the school day.

As a staff member working in a CLC program, you will support students and implement daily activities as directed by the Site Coordinator. You will have the opportunity to provide general supervision of the enrolled children, assist with homework, and execute pre-planned lessons. You may even gain experience in lesson planning yourself!

Working hours are after school, 12 – 17 hours per week. Ideal working schedule is 3:30 – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday; however, this may be flexible depending on the needs of each school. The pay range for CLC staff is $15.00 – $16.00 per hour.

Positions start on August 28, 2023.

Additional information/requirements:

  • This role is a mandated child abuse reporter.
  • Must be able to interact physically with children during program activities.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Will you join us in working to create life-long learners and compassionate citizens, and to improve the lives of children and families?
