To Our Friends and Supporters of the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh/Tri-County Area:

We have some big news to share about the future of the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area in Berlin. As of January 1, 2018 the Tri-County Club will be its own independent organization. This means it will be recognized as its own chartered Boys & Girls Club with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and operate as its own 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Established in 1997, the Tri-County Club, formally known as the Boys & Girls Club of Berlin, was a branch unit of the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, Inc. During this time the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, Inc. was the legal owner of property and assets for this Club. As a new independent organization, Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area, Inc. will have 100% control and ownership of facilities and any/all assets in its name. Over the past ten years the Tri-County Club has made remarkable strides building a very strong board, raising $4 million to build a brand new Boys & Girls Club which opened in 2015, has strengthened all of its fundraisers, developed strong staff, and is in a solid financial position. The Tri-County Club will best identify with the geographic area it serves, operating under its own identity.

Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh Board of Directors has helped facilitate this transition; fully supporting this impressive milestone and wishes the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area all the best going forward.

Though we will be two separate organizations, both boards remain committed to serving our mission in our respective geographic areas. With this communication also comes the announcement that the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area will name Executive Director, Jason Presto, as their CEO effective January 1, 2018. We congratulate Jason in his new leadership role!
