Hiram Moss joined the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh team earlier this month in the Athletic Director position.
Hiram was raised in Chicago and attended a Boys & Girls Club in a Chicago neighborhood and played high school sports winning a state title in basketball with his senior team. He then earned a scholarship to Emporia State University in Kansas where he continued to play basketball and earned a degree in recreation.
During his college years, Hiram worked at Emporia Recreation Commission developing sports programs and leagues for youth. He also officiated basketball, football, and soccer at this center and for Lyon County School District.
Hiram also worked at Greater St. Paul Church in Chicago in their summer youth program for three years, developing summer sports leagues, running trips, and mentoring at risk youth. Hiram was involved in this same church program as a teen.
In addition, Hiram worked at Rock Springs summer camp in Junction City, Kansas, teaching fishing, archery, canoeing, mountain biking, rifle and shotgun, and rock wall climbing.
Hiram’s passions are spending time with family, sports, fishing, history, video games and working with kids.
If you stop by the gym, please say hi and a give a big welcome to Hiram!
