Volunteers Always Welcome!

The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh is always looking for volunteers who are interested in making a positive impact on our members lives and giving back to the community. Our volunteer opportunities include anything from playing a game with members in our games room, helping with an arts and crafts project, working with a child to complete homework, help a member improve in a subject that they may be struggling with, or even helping coach or referee a sport in a gym.

As we serve youth ages 6-18, there are so many different ways to get involved and a large variety of programs and activities to help with.  Our members love the extra attention they often receive from our volunteers. With so many different volunteers giving their time and talents, we, as an organization are able to take our programs and services to the next level.  So much of what we offer would not be possible without the extra help that so many willingly give.

Aside from the above Club volunteer opportunities, we are also seeking volunteers that are willing to teach our members a skill or hobby and lead an activity or program.  Those opportunities would be based on the special skill set of the volunteer and could include things like woodworking, sewing, fishing, coaching, etc. We are always open to new ideas and looking to run new programs with our members.

Recently, we had a volunteer come in to share his passion for wood burning. He came to our Teen Center and taught them the ins and outs of electrical wood burning and even let them try it out themselves. Sharing his passion with our members allowed them to gain new experiences and knowledge that they would have otherwise not had.

We are so grateful for our volunteers that take time out of their day to spend it here at the Club. Volunteer opportunities are endless and are based on the interest of the volunteer.  There is not a minimum or maximum number of hours that are required. All volunteers must complete a volunteer application and background check form.
